Kirk Pinner
Managing Director

As the founder of OTSS, Kirk has set about doing business "outside the square", often taking on projects which require a different approach, something out of the ordinary and needing to be specifically tailored to suit. Doing business this way is what sets OTSS apart from others - it is our point of difference. Kirk has qualifications in Business, Training & Assessment, Employment Services OH&S, and Sport & Recreation - along with extensive experience in Business, Administration, Marketing, Training, Sport, Hospitality, and Local Government.

Ashleigh Purton
TRAINING CONSULTANT

Ashleigh has lived predominantly in Tasmania, both in Hobart and on the North West Coast, and has also spent a number of years living in Sydney, NSW. With a range of work opportunities, Ashleigh has gained experience in business administration, management, training & coaching, and small business operation, as well as retail and hospitality. Ashleigh holds qualifications in Management, Leadership, Business, Training & Assessing and Human Resources and has a passion for empowering people to believe in themselves and to achieve their goals. Ashleigh leads us with our Diploma training and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment delivery.


Ryan Petterwood
Program Coordinator

Ryan has lived on the NW Coast of Tasmania all his life and has had a career in Signwriting with a Certificate III in Offsite Construction and is currently studying Business. With 14-years’ experience in the signwriting industry on the Coast with two different companies Ryan’s strengths and extensive experience are in coordination and implementation of large and small projects, many with fixed time frames and special requirements which makes him ideal as our Program Coordinator. Ryan has a high interest in seeing and helping people achieve more from themselves and reaching their own personal goals. Ryan’s diverse skills enables OTSS to continue to develop in our business areas and taken on new projects.


Tracy Anderson 
Executive Consultant

Tracy has extensive experience in hotel management and marketing, advertising, hospitality and small business spanning across NSW, VIC and TAS. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Business, along with Vocational qualifications in Marketing, Management, Hospitality, Tourism and Training and Assessing. Tracy’s primary role is coordinating and delivering the Great Customer Experience (GCE) program in partnership with our major partner the Tasmanian Hospitality Association (THA). Tracy also is a qualified Barista and delivers a range of hospitality and tourism qualifications.


Melissa Wilson 
TRAINING CONSULTANT

Melissa has lived predominantly on the North West Coast of Tasmania but has spent extensive time living and working abroad in both England and Scotland. Melissa holds qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism, Business and Training & Assessing and since returning home to Burnie and starting her own small business, seeks to provide education and share her passion for these ever expanding sectors. Melissa leads us with our full qualification delivery, especially with workplace based traineeships in hospitality and business, VET in Schools programs and our hospitality skill-set delivery.


Thalia Saltmarsh  
Administrative Support Officer

Thalia has gained hospitality and business administration experience and regional tourism knowledge through her five years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry. Thalia holds a range of qualifications across a Certificate II, III and IV in Hospitality, Tourism and Business. Thalia is currently studying a Diploma of Leadership and Management. Thalia was a Finalist for Tasmania Trainee of the Year at the 2016 Tasmanian Training awards and won the Cradle Coast Authority Tourism Student of the Year award in 2014. Thalia’s role includes administration duties covering all aspects of OTSS training and business services, including and assisting our Executive Consultant with the delivery of the Great Customer Experience (GCE) program.
